"2019 World Orienteering Championships" stamp on cover from Norway

Timbre "Championnat du monde de course d'orientation 2019" sur lettre de Norvège

Du 13 au 17 août 2019, la Norvège a organisé (pour la 4ème fois de son histoire) à Østfold la 36ème édition des championnats du monde de course d'orientation, ce sport de pleine nature qui se pratique avec une carte et une boussole, et se déroule en général en forêt (épreuves individuelles et relais).
Des athlètes venant d'une cinquantaine de pays différents ont participé à cette compétition, qui pour la 1ère fois ne comportait aucune épreuve de sprint (un championnat du monde spécifique aura lieu en 2020 au Danemark).
Le 14 juin 2019, la poste norvégienne a mis en circulation un timbre autocollant (tarif domestique "Innland" - 16 NOK actuellement), imprimé en carnet de 10 timbres, consacré à ce championnat du monde ("VM I Orientering").
La course d'orientation a été inventée par l'armée suédoise à la fin du 19ème siècle et la 1ère course d'orientation civile a été organisée en Norvège en 1897 à Nordmarka, au nord d'Oslo.
From August 13 to 17, 2019, Norway organized (for the 4th time in its history) in Østfold the 36th edition of the World Orienteering Championships, this outdoor sport that is practiced with a map and a compass, and usually takes place in the forest (individual events and relays).
Athletes from around 50 different countries participated in this competition, which for the first time did not include any sprint event (a specific world championship will be held in 2020 in Denmark).
On June 14, 2019, the Norwegian Post issued a self-adhesive stamp ("Innland" domestic rate - NOK 16 currently), printed in a booklet of 10 stamps, dedicated to this World Championship ("VM I Orientering").
Orienteering was invented by the Swedish military at the end of the 1800s and the first civil orienteering race was arranged in Norway in 1897 in Nordmarka, north of Oslo.

Ce timbre (tirage : 1055000), conçu par Ragnar Aalbu, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 30 juillet 2019 depuis Oslo. Merci beaucoup Rune !
Ce timbre représente une boussole avec une carte dans le fond, ainsi que le symbole international de la course d'orientation, utilisé sur les balises qui servent à marquer les points de contrôle.
La Suède et la Norvège ont largement dominé cette compétition (4 épreuves individuelles et 2 épreuves en relais), devant la Suisse et la Finlande.
Les 1ers timbres courants "cor postal" (conçus par Andreas Friedrich Wilhelm von Hanno) ont été émis en Norvège en 1871, faisant de cette série la plus ancienne toujours en usage dans le monde.
Le graphisme a été toutefois revu et modernisé au fil des années, comme ce timbre (5 NOK) ci-dessus en 2 exemplaires, émis le 11 février 2002 et réémis en feuille de 5 timbres autocollants le 5 avril 2018.

This stamp features a compass with a map in the background, as well as the international symbol of orienteering, used on the markers at control points.
Sweden and Norway dominated this competition (4 individual events and 2 relay events), ahead of Switzerland and Finland.
The first definitive "posthorn" stamps (designed by Andreas Friedrich Wilhelm von Hanno) were issued in Norway in 1871, making this series the oldest one in the world still in use.
This stamp's design has however been reviewed and modernized over the years, such as this stamp (5 NOK) above in 2 copies, issued on February 11, 2002 and reissued in a sheet of 5 self-adhesive stamps on April 5, 2018.

"Child Creativity - Eastern Morocco" stamp set on FDC from Morocco

Série "Créativité enfantine - Le Maroc oriental" sur FDC du Maroc

Depuis 2005, la poste marocaine Barid Al-Maghrib met régulièrement en circulation des timbres ayant pour thème la "Créativité enfantine", reproduisant des dessins d'enfants lauréats d'un concours sur un thème en particulier.
Après "Un sourire pour la Terre" en 2018, c'est le "Maroc oriental" qui était le thème retenu cette année, avec une série de 4 timbres (3,75 dirhams) émise le 17 juin 2019.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le joli FDC officiel numéroté (n° 0179) ci-dessous concernant cette série, envoyé le 18 juillet 2019 depuis la ville de Meknès. Merci beaucoup Pierre !
Je suppose que ce thème du "Maroc oriental vu par les enfants" concerne la région de l'Oriental, une des 12 régions du pays, située dans le nord-est, avec la mer Méditerranée au nord et la frontière algérienne à l'est.
Since 2005, the Moroccan Post Barid Al-Maghrib is regularly issuing stamps devoted to the theme of "Child Creativity", reproducing children's drawings, winners of a competition on a theme in particular.
After "A smile for the Earth" in 2018, it is "Eastern Morocco" which was the theme this year, with a series of 4 stamps (3.75 dirhams) issued on June 17, 2019.

I guess this theme of "Eastern Morocco seen by children" concerns the region of the Oriental, one of the 12 regions of the country, located in the north-east, with the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Algerian border to the east.

Avec Berkane et Nador, la ville d'Oujda (410000 habitants) est la principale ville de cette région, point de passage entre le Maroc et l'Algérie.
L'imposante porte d'enceinte de la Médina Bab Sidi Abdelwahhab, construite vers 1325, un des symboles de cette ville d'Oujda, est représentée sur le timbre en haut à gauche (dessin de Anas Rabhi).
La porte d'entrée du parc Lalla Aïcha, dans cette même ville d'Oujda, est représentée sur le timbre en haut à droite (nom de l'enfant non lisible).
Je n'ai pas réussi à identifier ce qui était représenté sur les 2 autres timbres ci-dessus (dessins de Ryan Youssef et Mohammed Amine Agamour)...
Ce concours de dessin pour enfants (âgés de 8 à 14 ans) était organisé dans le cadre de la 6ème édition du Salon philatélique arabe, organisé à Oujda du 9 au 11 octobre 2018.

This drawing competition for children (aged 8 to 14) was organized as part of the 6th edition of the Arab Philatelic Exhibition, held in Oujda from 9 to 11 October 2018.

"50th anniversary of the first Moon landing" m/s on FDC from Bulgaria

Bloc-feuillet "50 ans du 1er alunissage" sur FDC de Bulgarie

Comme déjà évoqué sur ce blog, plus d'une trentaine d'administrations postales ont émis ou vont émettre des timbres ou blocs-feuillets consacrés au 50ème anniversaire du premier alunissage, un évènement qui a marqué l'humanité toute entière.
Le 19 juillet 2019, la poste bulgare a mis en circulation un intéressant bloc-feuillet (2 leva, tirage : 9000), conçu par Emilio Borata, consacré à ces 50 ans de l'homme sur la Lune, présent sur le joli FDC officiel ci-dessous. Merci beaucoup Borislav !
A noter sur cette lettre envoyée en recommandé de Sofia le 24 juillet 2019, la marque "Таxe perçue" en français et la valeur associée (4,30 leva) afin d'atteindre le tarif en vigueur (6,30 leva) pour un envoi prioritaire jusqu'à 20g en recommandé vers la France.
As already mentioned on this blog, more than thirty postal administrations have issued or will issue stamps or souvenir sheets dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, an event that has marked the whole of humanity.
On July 19, 2019, the Bulgarian Post put into circulation an interesting souvenir sheet (2 leva, print run: 9,000), designed by Emilio Borata, dedicated to these 50 years of the Man on the Moon, present on the nice official FDC below. Thank you very much Borislav!
To note on this letter sent by registered mail from Sofia on July 24, 2019, the mark "Таxe perçue" in French and the associated value (4.30 leva) in order to reach the tariff in force (6.30 leva) for a priority registered shipment up to 20g to France.

Ce bloc-feuillet a été conçu de façon assez originale avec cette vue de la Terre depuis la Lune, à travers le casque d'un astronaute américain (logo de la NASA et drapeau américain présents à la base du casque).
Une évocation des premières empreintes de pas laissées sur la Lune, toujours observables aujourd'hui, complète le timbre de ce bloc-feuillet.
La marge à droite comporte la célèbre phrase prononcée par Armstrong lorsqu'il a posé le pied sur la lune, "C'est un petit pas pour l'homme, un bond de géant pour l'humanité" en bulgare, ainsi que la signature des 3 astronautes de la mission Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin et Michael Collins.
Le 20 juillet 1969, pour la première fois dans l'histoire de l'humanité, deux astronautes américains, Neil Armstrong et Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, ont en effet marché sur la lune.
5 jours plus tôt, dans le cadre de la mission Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin et Michael Collins décollaient à bord d'une fusée Saturn-V du Kennedy Space Center en Floride, entrant en orbite lunaire le 19 juillet 1969.
This souvenir sheet has been designed in a rather original way with this view of the Earth from the Moon, through the helmet of an American astronaut (NASA logo and American flag present at the base of the helmet).
An evocation of the first footprints left on the Moon, still observable today, complete the stamp of this souvenir sheet.
The margin on the right includes Armstrong's famous phrase when he stepped on the moon, "That's one small step for "a" man, one giant leap for mankind" in Bulgarian, as well as the signature of the 3 astronauts of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins.
On July 20, 1969, for the first time in the history of humanity, two American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, indeed walked on the Moon. 
Five days earlier, as part of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins took off aboard a Saturn V rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, entering lunar orbit on July 19, 1969.
